AristaCare at Meadow Springs

Formerly Plymouth House Nursing Home, AristaCare at Meadow Springs was acquired July 1, 2006 by AristaCare who has a proven and illustrious track record for taking over struggling facilities, completely renovating them, dramatically raising the level and quality of care, and overhauling the image. AristaCare Health Services' approach is unique and innovative.

AristaCare at Meadow Springs is in the midst of undergoing a complete renovation. AristaCare at Meadow Springs will now focus on caring for ventilator patients, and patients with neuromuscular degenerative disease in the "Neuro Life Center". The "Pulmonary Life Center" is in the process of expanding to 76 vent beds and boasts brand new, state of the art, Viasys ventilators as well as a new, sophisticated security/call bell system. The "Neuro Life Center" will be dedicated to the rehabilitation and care of those neuromuscularly diagnosed patients, and by doing so, will achieve this mission through a two-pronged approach:

Maximizing the patients' ability to reach their highest level of functioning possible. Many patients diagnosed with neuromuscular degenerative disease can make great strides and improvements with very focused and specialized neurological rehabilitation and targeted therapy programs. At AristaCare at Meadow Springs, the Physiatry Medical Director is constantly raising the bar for our patients, continually monitoring their progress, and aggressively pushing each individual towards higher goals. There will be customized programs for each disease state to maximize each individual's potential. For example, for paraplegics, a basketball court will be available to strengthen their upper bodies, while providing all the benefits to the psyche and soul that team playing provides.

Improving quality of life. The most obvious distinction in AristaCare at Meadow Spring's philosophy is the innovative approach and strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for all patients. Providing the highest level of social, mental, recreational, and stimulating environmental surroundings will significantly impact the individuals overall well being, and ability to function physically.

To that end, AristaCare at Meadow Springs will be a state of the art environment customized to the needs of the population served. The lovely grounds will be transformed into a peaceful, park-like setting. Also in the works is a high tech, sophisticated recreation room with equipment custom made to be usable by patients on all ends of the functioning scale. For example, special computer and video games will be available and patients will be trained into their use and encouraged to enjoy them. Music therapy will be offered as well as many interesting, intellectually stimulating activities and programs.

With AristaCare's total commitment and dedication to addressing the physical, social and emotional growth of each patient, AristaCare at Meadow Springs will be the premier environment for neurologically impaired/vent dependent patients needing short or long term care.
